7. Nominating Committee
7.1. The Nominating Committee shall exist of a chairperson and eight additional members, at least five of them shall be members of the Council.
7.2. The members of the Nominating Committee shall be elected by the Council within the last year of each Presidency and will be nominated for four years. The composition of the Nominating Committee shall take into account both the geographical distribution of FEPS-member societies and its various disciplines. The Past-President would normally be the chairperson of the Nominating Committee. If the Past-President is not willing or not able to do so, the Executive Board will appoint an alternative as chairperson of the Nominating Committee. Current members of the Nominating Committee are not eligible for nomination as members of the Executive Board.
7.3. The Nominating Committee shall present a list of nominees, together with appropriate personal information, to the Secretary General at least three months in advance of the council meeting at which new members of the executive board are to be elected. The list should contain at least two nominees for each executive board position. At the end of the term of the President, the President is nominated for Past-President and the previous President-Elect is nominated for President.
7.4. The Nominating Committee reaches its decisions by majority vote. It is expected that the chairperson of the Nominating Committee convenes a meeting of this committee in conjunction with the Council meeting at the end of the first year of each presidency.
