INVITATION

On behalf of the Council of the Polish Physiological Society, the Organizing Committee and myself, I am pleased and honored to invite you to attend the 28th Congress of the Polish Physiological Society, which will be held on-line on September 15-17, 2021.

Organized since 1937, conventions and international congresses of the Polish Physiological Society have become a recognized forum for the presentation of achievements, new scientific and creative concepts, discussions related to the functioning of the human and animal body, taking into account the pathophysiological mechanisms of disease phenomena. The scientific program will be filled with plenary state of art lectures by invited top experts, lecture sessions based on original research studies and e-poster sessions. 15 thematic sessions with discussion will be held, covering most fields of modern physiology and pathophysiology, from the single molecule level to the whole organism regulatory interactions.

The key objective of the XXVIII Congress of PPS, organized under the title „From diversity in physiology to interdisciplinary cooperation”, is to merge multi-threaded issues with the integral help of specialists representing various scientific fields; from biology and medicine to engineering, which creates opportunities for establishing multicenter research cooperation. The novelty of the XXVIII Congress of PPS are interdisciplinary sessions: „Physiology meets engineering”, „Multi-omics perspectives in physiology”.

The official Congress language is English.

Tomasz Wierzba, MD, PhD
Chairman of the Organizing Committee
