The Federation of European Physiological Societies (FEPS) is calling for nominations for the FEPS Rising Star Award, which will be awarded to a young physiologist who has made substantial contributions to the advancement of the field through groundbreaking research.
The successful candidate will have developed an innovative, internationally recognized research profile as an independent investigator, as demonstrated by an outstanding record of scientific dissemination.
The prize will be awarded at the FEPS–SIF European Congress of Physiology 2026: Physiology Shaping the Future, to be held on September 8–11, 2026, in Brescia, Italy. The awardee will receive a monetary prize of €1,500 and deliver a keynote lecture as part of the Congress's scientific program.
For the 2026 edition, nominees must be under the age of 40 as of December 31, 2026. Allowances will be made for documented career breaks.
The deadline for nominations is May 15, 2026. Self-nominations are not permitted.
